A Merewether house with ocean and city views sold $315,000 over its reserve while homes in Bar Beach and Lambton also proved popular auctions last Saturday.
Mike Flook, of Robinson Property, marketed 47 Woodward Street, set on an elevated 700 square metre block with a stunning outlook and said there were nine registered bidders and “fierce competitive bidding” for the three-bedroom residence before it was secured for $1.71 million.
Mr Flook also took 95 Watkins Street, Merewether to auction last weekend and the three-bedroom home on a flat 534 square metre block less than 150 metres from the beach sold for $2.05 million.
A two-bedroom Bar Beach townhouse in Wrightson Avenue sold for $75,000 over its reserve when it was bought for $825,000 after an opening bid of $650,000. It was marketed by Walkom’s Kate Rundle.
A two-bedroom home on 511 square metres at 158 Chatham Street, Broadmeadow marketed by Dalton Partners’ Anthony Merlo with a price guide of $580,000 sold under the hammer for $755,000.
There were five registered bidders for a four-bedroom home on 809 square metres at 20 Chilcott Street, Lambton. It was marketed by Street Property Group’s Damon Sellis with a guide of $890,000 to $960,000 and sold for $980,000.
A three-bedroom home on 522 square metres at 107 Cleary Street, Hamilton marketed by Ray White’s Stephen Dorman sold for $800,000.
LJ Hooker sold a four-bedroom house on 726 square metres in Arcadia Street, Arcadia Vale for 670,000.
At PRDnationwide’s auction night Wednesday, 26 Bridge Street, Waratah ($780,000), 169 Beaumont Street, Hamilton ($870,000) and 75 Springfield Avenue, Kotara ($580,000) sold under the hammer.
Auction action continues on November 25 around town with plenty of activity expected in Maryville.
Street Property Group’s Andrew Walker has 10 Estell Street going under the hammer at 10.30am with a price guide of $600,000 to $650,000.
McGrath Estate Agents’ Tammy Hawkins takes 68 Estell Street to auction with a price guide of $770,000 at noon.
McGrath’s Simon Wall expects 35 Esperance Street, Jewells to be popular with first home buyers when it auctions at 9.45am with a price guide of $520,000.
First National will auction a two-bedroom townhouse at 34 Kemp Street, The Junction with a price guide $510,000 to $560,000 at 10am.
Dalton Partners have two properties in Merewether set for auction – 2 Wilton Street at 10.30am ($680,000) and 6 Dent Street at 12.30pm ($1.4 million).
