POLICE on Wednesday used helicopters to scour an area in the outskirts of Charters Towers as the desperate search for missing Newcastle man Jayden Penno-Tompsett drags on.
The search came after detectives received new information that put the 22-year-old’s last known location at a property only described as having a bull skull on a post near a set of yards with silver-coloured fencing.
Police also received information that the property was on an unsealed road with a red steel fence.
According to local media, police were able to pinpoint the property to Stockroute Road, about 20 minutes north-east of the Charters Towers central business district.

Police door-knocked several properties in the area and used helicopters to conduct an aerial search.
However, police were no closer to finding Mr Penno-Tompsett. The Birmingham Gardens man has been missing since New Year’s Eve.
His mother, Rachel Penno, has launched a crowd-funding campaign to raise money for a separate search.
