Newcastle Beachwatch with Dave Anderson: Saturday, February 24, 2018

Get in early before the seabreeze starts to get up. Not a great deal of quality again with most breaks having no protection from the wind. Swell still has some East in it's direction at 1 to 1.5m.

Wind from the North the N/E and freshening by the afternoon.

Tides going low late morning with Newcastle Beach, Dixon and Pogos the better options. Redhead, Frenchmans and Birdie to the south. Birubi and Seals rocks to the north.

Sunday morning looking offshore. Only swim at patrolled beaches in the flagged areas. Sweeps are running to the southern corners. Water  22C.
