Twins Tom and Isla Wawszkowicz to start kindergarten at Ashtonfield Public School

IN a lot of ways, Tom and Isla Wawszkowicz are chalk and cheese.

But, when it comes to their excitement for big school, the Ashtonfield twins are very similar.

Like many children across Maitland, they will start Kindergarten this week.

Mum Krista said the event was also a big deal for their family as a whole.

The pair’s arrival at school on Friday will end 12 years of daycare at Shamrock Hill daycare centre for Mr and Mrs Wawszkowicz.

Their two eldest will be entering Year 5 and Year 8.

But, this week, all eyes will be on the delightful duo when they head to Ashtonfield Public School.

“Tom is looking forward to catching the bus home from school,” Mrs Wawszkowicz said

“He loves buses, planes, trains, automobiles.

“Isla, she loves drawing and colouring in.

“She’s always reading – she’s a smart little cookie.”

With students returning Monday, 40 km/hour speed limit zones will be in force on weekday mornings and afternoons.
