Sales of Hamilton South homes in Hibberd and Lawson streets set new highs

New ground was broken in Hamilton South last year with a new suburb sale record of $2.625 million and a handful of street highs and the trend has continued into 2018.

First National Newcastle City set new sale ceilings for Hibberd Street and Lawson Street, according to Australian Property Monitors, in the past week.

An award-winning build at 3 Hibberd Street sold after auction last Saturday for $1.455 million, eclipsing the previous street high of $1.027 million.

A renovated home in Lawson Street sold prior to auction for a record $1.75 million, $100,000 more than a sale in the street last year. 

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was built circa 1915 and retained many period features.
