Police have charged a man after allegedly locating methamphetamine during a vehicle search at Kahibah.
Police stopped a vehicle on Burwood Road about 4.25pm on Thursday to speak with the driver.
During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located drugs, believed to be methamphetamine.
They were seized and will undergo forensic analysis.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Newcastle police station where he was charged with possess drug and drive with expired licence.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday March 15.
The arrest was part of Strike Force Vidilini investigations.
Officers from Newcastle Police District established Strike Force Vidilini in September 2017 to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs throughout the region.
