Hunter based child care centre Go Kindy will launch its newest day care centre next month, at 745 Hunter St, Newcastle West.

The centre is a first for Newcastle, as it is located in a multi-story building and has been equipped with multipurpose room for yoga and language lessons, a custom designed playground, dedicated art and craft zones in each room and digital check in and sign out system for parents and carers.

“We are excited to be launching a facility that encapsulates the growth and demands of the Newcastle community.

“The city and the parents of Newcastle deserve a state-of- the-art facility in the CBD and we are pleased that we have delivered this to such a high standard,” Go Kindy Managing Director, Chris Passfield, said.

Paying homage to the city and surrounds, the centre features a two-storey artificial gumtree with animals, a water feature for the children and 40-metre mural of Newcastle.

The centre will educate and fully cater for 106 children daily aged between six weeks to six years and includes set out areas to cater to the needs of each age group.

The entire play space is lined with soft fall for extra safety measures and features a lift for parent accessibility with prams.

“Our vision is simple: we aim to enrich the lives of every child and their family while still making childcare affordable and accessible,” Go Kindy Operations Officer, Ann-Marie Soltan said.

The centre has a dedicated car park located at the bottom of the building for ease of picking up and dropping off children during peak hours in the city.

“With Newcastle West undergoing a development boom with residential apartments, we saw the opportunity to create a childcare centre with a difference that will meet the needs of the city.

“Everyone who has walked the site to date has been amazed at what has been created.

“We can wait to open,” Marketing Manager Meg Passfield said.
