Hunter Coast Premier Hockey League leaders Gosford are expected to welcome back Australian Youth Olympic squad member Lain Carr for Sunday’s top-four clash with Souths at Wyong.

Carr has been away representing NSW at the recent national under-21 championships in Sydney, which wrapped up Thursday, and was this week named to wear the green and gold uniform at the bi-annual junior Games in Buenos Aeries in October.

Carr’s injured brother Rhiley will miss the round-15 encounter (12pm) against a depleted Lions, who are down Simon Vimpani at the over 35s World Cup in Spain.

Back at Newcastle and Norths meet Wests (12pm) while University tackle The Entrance (1:30pm).
