Gunther Neumann is a finalist in the Lake Macquarie Business Excellence Awards in the category “Young Business Executive (Age 18-35)”, and hopes that this nomination will increase awareness to recycle food and garden waste.
Gunther, together with Lake Macquarie City Council, is responsible for the successful construction of the brand new state-of-the-art Organics Resource Recovery Facility at 413 Wilton Road, Awaba.
Located adjacent to the Lake Macquarie City Council Waste Management Facility, the new composting facility will provide high quality compost for the residents and businesses for use on farms, schools, vineyards, mine sites, the equestrian industry and sport fields.
REMONDIS has invested over $10 million to establish this closed-loop solution for organic waste.
Gunther is proud to have established the first food and garden waste recycling solution in the Hunter and looks forward to working with businesses and the community to reduce their waste disposal costs and improve their carbon footprint.
