Swell will begin to ease off through out the day. Surf looks like improving as banks to handle the smaller waves. Gusty offshore change for the afternoon and tide to be running out. Swell from the SSE at 2 dropping to 1.5m. Wind North to N/W tending fresh West. Tides shallow first up and the banks off South Bar and Pogos should be okay. Merewether sure to have a few out. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. One Mile and Samurai up at Port Stephens. Smaller clean waves for late surf. Swimming conditions have settled down but still long gutters in close.
