Calvary Mater Newcastle Auxiliary Cancer Carers raise more than $327,000 for hospital in 2017/18

MEMBERS of the Calvary Mater Newcastle Auxiliary Cancer Carers have raised $327,000 for the hospital in the past year, with the lolly tables alone bringing in more than $70,000.

Donated crafts raised close to $40,000, raffles approximately $25,000 and functions and bowls days made more than $68,000 for the fund-raising group.

Calvary Mater Newcastle chief Greg Flint said the “significant donation” enabled the hospital to buy much-needed equipment for the care and comfort of patients.
