Colour, music and street food made for a grand and great day out at the 33rd annual Wallsend Winter Fair on Sunday.
The family friendly event attracted thousands to Wallsend’s town centre for what is one of the largest, if not the largest street events in Newcastle. The day began a 9am with a grand parade, featuring a range of community organisations led by marching, pipe and brass bands down Nelson Street.
Punters then got to visit specialty stalls and local businesses offering food, arts, crafts, gifts, clothing, jewellery and more.
Wallsend Winter Fair is held each year on the second Sunday in August.
