A historic residence in exclusive The Terrace on The Hill was secured by a local buyer within three weeks of hitting the market this year and now another is expected to attract similar interest.

The two-storey Victorian Italianate residence was built in 1869 and retains the grandeur of its era.

“It’s a bit special,” Mr Brownlow said. “It’s the size and grandeur and it has spectacular views.

“There is also has a generous, north-facing backyard which is private and everyone who has come through has said the photos don’t do it justice.

“The owners bought it in 2004 and have updated it and brought it back to its former glory.”

There are five bedrooms, three bathrooms, pressed metal ceilings, arch windows, a modern gas kitchen and views across King Edward Park and the ocean.

Inspections on Saturday are by appointment.
