First National Newcastle City agent George Rafty has been “inundated” with enquiry since “boutique” complex 121 Elder in Lambton to be built on the site of the Snake Gully Hotel was released to market last weekend.
My Rafty and Luke Murdoch are marketing the GWH Build development off the plan.
“Location and village lifestyle” have proven appealing factors for prospective buyers.
“Elder Street is a really funky and quirky village and shopping strip, and because it’s only a boutique development of 15 apartments and its GWH there’s a lot of confidence about it,” Mr Rafty said.
The complex will be built on the corner of Elder and Grainger streets and will comprise 15 apartments, which will be a mix of one, two and three bedrooms.
There will be three retail suites on ground level.
Demolition of the site is expected to be begin by the end of this year with construction due to commence early in 2019.
Completion is expected by the end of next year.
Prices for apartments begin in high $400,000s and will range up to $950,000.
The complex will have lift access, state of the art finishes, island stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances, a barbecue and entertaining courtyard on ground level plus a rooftop viewing deck.
It is positioned close to Lambton Park and pool.
