BEACHWATCH 

Another offshore morning with some small clean waves on offer. The early high tide will effect some of the outer banks so try the shorebreaks and inner reefs. Swell from the south to S/E at 1 to 1.2m. Winds light and variable north to N/W tending east during the afternoon. Good light early and try Cowrie, Bar Reef, Cliff and Pogos. Merewether and Newcastle beach as tide runs out. Burwood, Redhead and Moonie to the south. Up at Port Stephens try One Mile and Samurai. Change due for Sunday. Waters clean and clear in and beaches sanding up. Only swim in flagged areas of patrolled beaches. Water temp 16C.

Winds Variable about 10 knots becoming northeasterly 15 to 25 knots in the early afternoon then northerly 10 to 15 knots in the evening. Seas Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. 

Swell Southerly around 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore.
