BEACHWATCH 

Surfs smaller today with clean conditions for the morning. The tide running out for the early with a few shorebreaks about. Change due late afternoon. Swell inconsistent from the  East to S/E at around 1m. Wind North to N/E tending S/W to S/E. Dawn patrollers are getting in the water early with banks off South Bar, Cliff and Dixon. On low try Pogos and Merewether. Burwood, Dudley and Moonie to the south. Samurai and Birubi up at Port. Clean swimming with beaches sanding up in southern corners. Water 16C. - Dave Anderson

HUNTER BOATING

Winds Northerly 15 to 25 knots, up to 30 knots offshore in the morning. Winds tending northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25 knots at noon ahead of a southerly change 20 to 30 knots in the evening. Seas 2 to 3 metres, down below 2 metres in the afternoon. 1st Swell Northeasterly around 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore south of Port in the morning. 2nd Swell Southerly around 1 metre. Weather Mostly sunny. Chance of a storm north of Norah Head in the afternoon.
