Registrations of interest have opened for unique development Park Bella Vista at Mayfield. It will comprise 12 freestanding strata-title homes, each overlooking the grounds and gardens of Bella Vista. Park Bella Vista has been designed around the Bella Vista mansion, which was built in 1919 for the manager of BHP and over the years has hosted royalty. The mansion was listed for sale in April but the owners have since changed their minds and plan to stay on and restore one of Newcastle’s landmark residences. Bella Vista and the 12 new homes will all have gated access to the sprawling heritage gardens on the iconic property. It is being marketed by Darren Penn, of Ray White Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Mr Penn expected the development's “uniqueness” to make it popular in the marketplace. “Once people start to see the end product, I think it will be viewed favourably by the market as a high quality development,” Mr Penn said. CKDS are the project architect for Park Bella Vista and each two-level home will have three bedrooms, a study and two bathrooms. The project has development application approval and will be officially launched on October 19 before being released to market. Find out more at www.parkbellavista.com.
