Whiteley Corporation® this year celebrates 85 years of manufacturing, providing infection prevention solutions, hygiene solutions and floor maintenance and sealers.
Nominated in the Excellence in Innovation category, Whiteley services hospitals and healthcare facilities including GP, dental, ultrasound and radiology and day surgeries, industrial hard floor contractors and cleaners on a global basis.
Earlier this year the Herald reported how Whiteley, owned by Dr Greg Whitely, will invest up to $4 million building the first human therapeutics manufacturing hub in the Hunter at Tomago, with a development application expected to be lodged by mid 2019.
The new plant will generate jobs at every skill level and will be used to develop treatments for patients with “biofilm-mediated infections” – or infections they pick up during hospital stays.
“Throughout life infection prevention applies to everything from childcare to aged care and the many interactions with healthcare in between,” Darran Leyden, Managing Director of Whiteley Corporation, said.
“Whiteley Corporation is proud of its achievements in research and development and celebrates its 85th year of Australian manufacturing in 2018.
“Winning the HMA Excellence in Innovation Award would be great recognition of Whiteley Corporations’ commitment to research and development. It is always fantastic to be recognised by peers in the Hunter Region.”
