Jason Sangha has been named in a NSW squad alongside an all-Australian bowling attack for this week’s Sheffield Shield match against Queensland in Canberra.
The 19-year-old Novocastrian was announced for the Blues next to Test pacemen Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.
National off-spinner Nathan Lyon remains in the state side after playing in NSW’s most recent draw against Tasmania at the SCG.
Sangha scored his maiden Shield century in that same outing.
The Blues’ following Shield game is against Western Australia in Perth from November 27.
Australia’s first Test against India begins at the Adelaide Oval on December 6. Beforehand a Cricket Australia XI is set to play India in a three-day tour match at the SCG from November 29.
In the upcoming fourth-round Shield fixture, regular Sean Abbott and Harry Conway have been left out of the 13-man NSW squad.
The Blues final XI will be released before the start of play on Friday.
