A MAN allegedly found with a .22 calibre single-shot revolver tucked into his waistband after a vehicle stop at New Lambton on Wednesday night has been refused bail in Newcastle Local Court.
Brendon Fullerton, 23, was a passenger in a car stopped by officers from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor North on Newcastle Road about 8pm on Wednesday, police said.
Police removed Mr Fullerton from the vehicle and allegedly found a .22 calibre single-shot revolver in his waistband.
And following a search of the vehicle, police allegedly seized a homemade 12-gauge shotgun, 12-gauge cartridges, .22 calibre ammunition and a shotgun barrel.
Mr Fullerton was arrested and police later searched a New Lambton home, allegedly discovering more ammunition as well as methylamphetamine, cannabis, suspected steroids, prescription medication and cash.
Mr Fullerton was charged with 10 firearms offences, supplying a prohibited drug and possession of a prohibited drug. The matter was adjourned until January.
