STUDENTS hoping to start university this year have another chance of securing a place when the Universities Admissions Centre releases another 17,000 offers on Friday.
UAC said while many NSW Higher School Certificate students received offers in December, today’s round would be the first opportunity for students from other states and who completed the International Baccalaureate whose results were not previously available to secure a place in 2019.
Applicants can log in to UAC's website or app from 7.30am to find out if they have received an offer.
UAC will also release details of the lowest, median and highest selection rank for each course on its website. This list will show courses that still have vacancies for the next offer round, on January 25.
UAC general manager of marketing and engagement, Kim Paino, recommended “applicants accept offers they are made now so they don’t miss out on the opportunity to study in first semester this year”.
Students can apply until midnight on February 8 for study in semester one.
