A THREE-day police operation into break and enters and vehicle thefts in Newcastle has ended with 11 people arrested. Operation Disrupt, run by Newcastle and Lake Macquarie police from Tuesday until Thursday, laid a total of 18 charges. “Recent crime trends have seen an increase in both break and enters and vehicle thefts in the region and Operation Disrupt was established to specifically target these crimes across both commands,” Newcastle police commander Superintendent Brett Greentree said.
