A MAN will face court later this month after allegedly leading police on a chase through Raymond Terrace at the weekend.
Police allege a 45-year-old man was at home in Corelli Close on Saturday night when a man known to him and a woman requested a lift.
The trio left the property before police attempted to stop their car for a breath test on Irrawang Street.
It is alleged the male passenger threatened the 45-year-old, leading to a police pursuit before the car slowed down and the driver jumped out on Adelaide Street.
The car took off again and the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns.
On Tuesday, police attended a Mayfield address after a sighting of the couple allegedly involved in the pursuit.
They arrested a 40-year-old man on Habury Street after a foot pursuit.
The woman was last seen fleeing in a blue Nissan Navara.
The man was charged with aggravated take/drive motor vehicle with person in it - in company, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), custody of knife in public place.
He was formally refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on March 25.
Inquiries to find the woman were ongoing on Tuesday night, police said.
