Weston moved to a share of second place on the overall standings with a 3-2 win over Newcastle Jets Youth at Rockwell Automation Park.
The Bears led 2-0 by the main break before Pat Langlois and Maki Petratos twice got Jets Youth within one. Chris Hurley, Jason Tijen-Fooh and Liam Wilson all netted for Weston.
In Saturday's round six fixtures, frontrunners Edgeworth recorded their third win in the space of eight days with a 4-0 result against Adamstown at Jack McLaughlin Oval with Will Bower getting two and Daniel McBreen scoring on his return.
It was the same scoreline at Croudace Bay Sports Complex with Lambton accounting for Valentine 4-0, featuring a first half hat-trick to Jaffas' Braedyn Crowley.
Hamilton outclassed Lakes 5-1 at Darling Street Oval with Olympic's Reece Pettit landing three goals.
