Newcastle Rebels representative captain and Wests hooker Alex Langbridge will miss Sunday's club encounter with Souths after being suspended.
Langbridge, also an Australian touch football player, took an early guilty plea on Tuesday and received a one-match ban for a grade one careless high tackle on the weekend.
The incident occurred in the 55th minute of Saturday's fixture at Maitland Sportsground where the Rebels beat Sydney-based Ron Massey Cup side 30-20.
Langbridge was penalised at the time but taken from the field shortly after with an unrelated knee injury.
Unbeaten Wests are away to defending champions Souths at Townson Oval in round four.
Lakes host Macquarie at Cahill Oval on Sunday.
Saturday sees Kurri Kurri meet Maitland and Central at home to Cessnock.
