Lakeside Clinic at Warners Bay Private Hospital offers a range of in-patient and day patient mental health programs and therapies developed in collaboration with its accredited psychiatrists.
Group treatment programs and individually tailored programs are provided, created in consultation with a patient's admitting psychiatrist.
With the addition of two new wards, Lakeside Clinic now provides 78 fully private, hotel-style rooms, each with their own ensuite.
Lakeside Clinic Day Programs Manager Jess Westcott said group therapy was an opportunity for people to regain a sense of hope.
"People with mental health difficulties can often feel lonely and isolated," she said.
"These groups have a healing nature in that our group members are around other people who genuinely care, so they walk away with really hopeful experience. "
The aim at Lakeside Clinic is to work towards the fastest possible recovery for each patient, helping them manage their symptoms and work towards leading a full and productive life.
While each patient's program is tailored individually, group therapy sessions are beneficial in giving patients insight into their illness.
The therapies used at Lakeside Clinic assist patients develop strategies to cope more effectively in the future.
Referrals for the Day Program Unit are accepted from either a GP or Psychiatrist.
