It's International Surfing Day so go catch a wave.
Small inconsistent swell over the weekend with mainly shorebreaks on the lower tides. Light offshore through out the morning with sea breeze by the afternoon.
The high tide to fill most beaches so try the inner reefs. Swell from the south at 0.5 to 1m. Wind light north-west to west tending south-west.
Tides full early and check Cowrie and Bar Reef. Newcastle Beach off the king rock and south Bar slightly bigger. Burwood, Redhead and Fraser to the south. Birubi and Samurai up at Port Stephens.
Still some kelp Dixon to Merewether and starting to get a cooler current. Nobbys, Bar Beach and Merewether patrolled.
Water temperature 18C.
